Building Certainty Into Every Property Transaction
Trusted legal counsel for real estate acquisitions, property development, conveyancing, and land disputes across the Bahamian archipelago. I help buyers, developers, and investors move forward with confidence.
Two Decades of Property Law Across the Islands
Called to the Bahamas Bar in 2003, Nathaniel R. Bethel has dedicated his career to the single area of law most fundamental to Bahamian life and commerce: real property. From his chambers on East Bay Street in Nassau, he advises local families, international purchasers, resort developers, and institutional investors on the full lifecycle of property transactions.
Before establishing his own practice, Nathaniel spent seven years at a leading Nassau commercial firm, where he led the property and conveyancing department. He holds an LL.B. from the University of the West Indies and a postgraduate diploma in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge. He is a member of the Bahamas Bar Association and a frequent contributor to the Bahamas Real Estate Association's legal advisory committee.

What Clients Say
Nathaniel handled the acquisition of our beachfront property in Harbour Island with exceptional care. His title search uncovered an easement issue that other counsel had missed entirely. That thoroughness saved us from a very costly mistake.
We have used Nathaniel for every phase of our development in western New Providence. From land assembly through subdivision approval to individual lot closings, he has been precise, responsive, and always a step ahead of the process.
Navigating the International Persons Landholding Act as a first-time foreign buyer felt overwhelming. Nathaniel made the process clear and manageable, and we closed on schedule without a single surprise. I recommend him without reservation.
